Since its inception on August 15, 1947, Rajshri has been an integral part of the Indian Film Industry enjoying a unique position covering film production, distribution, exhibition and export. Founded by the Late Shri Tarachand Barjatya, Rajshri has become a benchmark for quality cinema, not only at the national level but also at the global level. During the past five-and-a-half decades, Rajshri has explored and set new trends in the entertainment world. Sooraj R. Barjatya, Rajat A. Barjatya and Kavita K. Barjatya are now carrying on the Rajshri legacy forward guided by the principles of honesty, transparency and fair play in business, a reputation Rajshri is widely known for.
The young and enterprising Kavita Barjatya spearheads Rajshri Productions' Television Division. Their first program 'Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki' was launched on 30th May 2005 and has bagged many awards. The second daily soap - 'Pyaar Ke Do Naam, Ek Raadha Ek Shyaam' was launched in April 2006 on Star Plus.
